Upon receiving these boots I was impressed with the quality and the style. They are very comfortable and warm. The only problem is they are very hard to get on. It is a struggle to pull them on and I figured out I have to push and push my foot into each boot to get them on. They need a zipper or some kind of opening. I bought the black/purple combination and Im not sure where the purple is…they are just black with some off-white stiching. Overall, I am pleased with the boots.

I bought these boots for an upcoming winter trip to Japan, but for the last week or so I’ve been wearing them around here when it’s cold at night. I absolutely love them. My feet are almost always freezing, but not in these. They keep my feet very warm, and they’re very soft and comfortable. I have no problems walking in them for hours. They’re incredibly easy to slip on and off. I was worried before they came because a lot of previous reviews have said they’re small and/or tight. I ordered my usual size 7 and they fit perfectly! So I’d say they’re pretty true to size for me. They’ve also gotten a bit looser after wearing them for awhile, so they do have some give. There’s plenty of room around the calves to tuck jeans into, which I like. I think they’re really cute, too. I will probably order a second pair in another color since I’m so happy with them.

    Warm Boots, January 28, 2013

These boots are pretty good. They are the warmest boots I have ever owned which is nice living where I live. I do wish I would not have listened to the reviews to buy a size bigger than normal. I usually wear a 9.5 depending on the shoe, because of reviews I ordered a 10 and they are pretty big on me, I feel like a 9.5 would have been perfect. I would definitely order your normal size if you are looking at getting these. The reason I gave these boots only 3 stars is because they have that Omni-grip which is supposed to be this great grip that keeps you from slipping and sliding by giving you “maximum traction” as it is put. Oh my goodness did I almost die today when I wore these out for the first time with the fresh snow. I slipped more in these boots than I ever have in any other boot. I could barely walk on any kind of pavement or steps or really anything. The only time I didn’t slip (and when I say slip, I mean feet sliding so much that I was lucky I didn’t fall down more than I did) was walking through the snow on the grass in my yard. I have to say I was pretty disappointed because I was really looking forward to these boots and I really love Columbia stuff. However, for as warm as these boots are I will definitely keep them around. They would work well for early or late season camping trips or something like that. Not so great for wearing to work in the mornings though which was what I was hoping my main use would be since they are very attractive boots. Maybe they were slipping so much because it was fresh snow? I’m really not sure, I will revise my review if necessary after I have tried them out a bit more.
